Gwynedd-Mercy College is seeking a PART-TIME Assistant Track & Field Coach to work with sprinters / relays. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 – 3 years of coaching experience at the high school level or above. Those with less than 2 years of coaching experience will be considered if they have competitive experience in collegiate T&F. The assistant coach for sprinting events will work primarily with male and female 100 – 400 meter runners and athletes on the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays. In May of 2013 the men’s 4x100 meter relay finished 4 th at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, running 41.0 0 seconds.
Duties include: practice planning, limited recruiting duties, and occasional driving of a college vehicle to sites of competition (must have valid driving license). Interested candidates must be able to work afternoon and weekend hours. Duration of assignment is from late October through mid -May. The salary for each season (indoor & outdoor) is $2,000 for a total of $4,000. There is an opportunity to earn additional money working as an assistant during the cross country season (mid-August – until start of indoor track).
