FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at City College of New York is searching for a candidate with strong research expertise in atmospheric science. We seek candidates with research and teaching interests over a broad range of specializations in weather and climate, but preference will be given to candidates with a strength in meso-scale and large-scale modeling; climate dynamics; or climate change. The successful candidate is expected to establish a vigorous, externally funded research program that expands the scope of our departmental expertise by collaborating with existing EAS faculty members who specialize in atmosphere and cryosphere remote sensing, as well as the NOAA-Cooperative Remote Sensing Science and Technology Center (CREST) institute located at CCNY. Candidates are expected to teach both entry and advanced-level courses in the EAS department.
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
