The Department of Pharmacy Practice at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is accepting applications from qualified candidates to join our faculty at our satellite campus located in Colchester, Vermont. Our 62,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is minutes away from downtown Burlington and a number of other colleges, hospitals, and pharmacy partners. Nestled on the bank of beautiful Lake Champlain, the Burlington area offers the amenities and quaintness of a college town along with multi-season outdoor activities.
We are searching for a Non-Tenure track faculty candidate at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank with a clinical practice site in Inpatient Internal Medicine within Fletcher Allen Healthcare (FAHC) in Burlington, Vermont. FAHC is Vermont’s academic health center in affiliation with the University of Vermont. It is a 500 licensed bed facility with a medical staff of nearly 800. The FAHC organization provides care to more than 30 patient care sites and 100 outreach clinics and programs in Vermont and upstate New York. ACPHS has a strong alliance and partnership with FAHC. This position is fully funded by ACPHS Vermont and is designed to provide education to students and care to patients in the inpatient setting.
The ACPHS Vermont Campus opened its doors to students in the Fall of 2009. Our faculty deliver courses employing traditional as well as innovative teaching and learning methods entwined with state of the art technology to both the Albany and Vermont campuses. A laptop computer is a student requirement as we are a paperless campus. Faculty have the opportunity to work with students in large-group classroom settings as well as in small-group problem-solving workshops and skills labs.
Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Successful candidates for this position will possess a Pharm.D. degree and residency/fellowship or comparable experience and be eligible for licensure in Vermont. Successful applicants will have a commitment to student success, effective communication skills, strong clinical practice skills, enthusiasm for innovative teaching, and dedication to academic scholarship and service.
