FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Mathematics of the City College of New York invites applications for up to four Tenure Track faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and/or Professor to start August 30, 2013.
Duties and responsibilities: Research mathematician in one of the fields targeted by the department for current development. These areas are probability, statistics, group theory, and analysis. Strong candidates in other areas will also be considered. Duties will include teaching a range of courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. The successful applicant will be expected to continue an active research program supported in part by external funding.
Ph.D. and at least two years experience after the Ph.D. degree in a mathematical research or teaching position. Significant achievements or outstanding potential in research, and evidence of and commitment to excellence in teaching.
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
