Primary duty includes inorganic laboratory analysis of environmental samples such as but not limited to Alkalinity, Anions by IC ( Lachat experience is preferred), Cyanide, Nitrate, Sulfate, TOC, TSS, TDS, and Grain Size.
Secondly to review of Inorganic analytical data for compliance with EPA quality parameters in a NELAC accredited program. Review is in accordance with National Functional Guidelines for Inorganic Data Validation, ensuring complete, accurate, and defensible analytical results.
As part of your accepted obligation you will review and validate inorganic analytical data from an environmental contract lab program and perform periodic review of internally generated inorganic analyses.
You will maintain and comply with security procedures in the performance of duties and follow prescribed work practices and standard operating procedures in a scientific lab, as well as perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree in chemistry, biology or scientific related field plus 2 years relevant experience in laboratory testing. Ideally you will have comprehensive inorganic analytical experience of environmental samples testing and a demonstrated knowledge Quality Assurance background under NELAC guidelines.
Knowledge of EPA national functional guidelines for inorganic data review is desired.
You must be proficient in the use of personal computers and have knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel. We require excellent communication skills both verbal and written. You must be a U.S. Citizen, no sponsorship is available, further a security clearance at an appropriate level may be required after employment.
