The primary position purpose serves the overall business functions for sourcing and management of Contract Manufacturing (CMO) to support Brand, Multisource, and Consumer Healthcare and provides Site purchasing support of the Industrial Customer Business (ICB). A special focus in third party manufacturing with responsibility for maintaining current market knowledge and expertise. Ensuring continuity of supply of finished goods while sustaining long term mutually beneficial and ethical supplier relationships. Member of the Global CMO category team with responsibility to represent Site requirements, influence development of sourcing strategy, establish implementation plans and ensure their alignment with the strategic needs of the Site business. Lead and /or support implementation of the Supplier Management program as assigned. The Site spend for the CMO category is approximately $45 million. The position also supports the Global API category team with responsibility for specific global, regional and local strategies. Responsibility to implement global, regional and local principles, standards and processes. Develop strategies and direct the activities of cost reduction efforts at the local, regional and global levels.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides strategic sourcing expertise as an active member of the Contract Manufacturing Sourcing Team in order to drive implementation of sourcing strategy in line with overall BI sourcing strategy. This is to ensure supplier leverage, risk management, contract and agreement harmonization, best practice sharing, and external spend optimization Initiates and completes Supply Agreements and leads Supplier Management activities as assigned. Coordinate the preparation and negotiation of sourcing contracts with the Business Partners and stakeholders Optimizes external spend. Translate the agreed strategy into plans and budgets in co-operation with the heads of Purchasing, category leads, and the local sourcing functions in the emerging markets in order to meet continuity of supply, quality, as well as cost reduction objectives Maintains a strong up-to-date knowledge of market conditions and competitive sourcing opportunities Achieves purchasing cost reduction goals in accordance with company initiatives and direct staff toward achieving those goals Will work closely with Business Partners — Production Planning, Quality, Package Engineering, Technical Engineering, etc to clearly determine the business needs in order to develop and execute necessary actions with Suppliers to meet the business goals Negotiates and will work with suppliers on an ongoing basis to ensure quality, delivery, price, and inventory goals are developed and met Ensures that supplier agreements are housed in central repository, identify opportunities for cost, quality, or delivery improvement. Identify and solve complex commercial problems related to suppliers and the delivery of products and services Achieves all purchasing goals—PPV, cost savings, supplier management scorecard goals, and Global initiatives Supports initiatives and activities as directed by the US Purchasing Manager team and Corporate Division Purchasing Will remain compliant with specified training requirements as required by the functional area SOP’s Engage suppliers to ensure reliability of supply and mitigate risks associated with financial and/or inventory exposure

Minimum of 5 years in a professional Sourcing / Purchasing role in a regulated industry with pharmaceutical sector experience preferred Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical (chemistry or life sciences) or business related discipline (business administration, operations, materials management); MBA preferred Additional progressive experience in supply chain management, and/or operations strongly preferred with preference for leadership experience in a purchasing environment. (Inclusive of above experience requirement) Prior sourcing experience in Contract Manufacturing (CMO) and / or API for multisource and/or brand portfolios preferred Knowledge of global CMO supplier landscape Expertise in total cost modeling and supply negotiations throughout product lifecycles Must have experience developing annual budgets, and meeting strict deadlines Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products including project planning techniques and software plus Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint Must have strong communication skills, both oral & written, including effective negotiation skills Eligibility Requirements:
