Kenan-Flagler Business School
The University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School is seeking to hire an Associate Director for the MBA Career Management Center. The Associate Director will oversee recruiting activities and provide career coaching and training to students seeking summer internship and full-time positions in investment banking and real estate. This individual will also be responsible for managing relationships with companies hiring MBAs for these positions, and for building a working knowledge of all areas and job functions within it. The Associate Director will also be responsible for managing several recruiting-focused events and projects over the course of each school year.
A bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or master's in a relevant discipline is strongly preferred.
Qualification and Experience:
Five or more years of relevant business experience. Experience with coaching managing MBAs in the industry, counseling MBA students, career development, program management, corporate recruiting, or training is helpful. Critical skills include: the ability to build internal and external relationships with broad constituencies; a demonstrated commitment to customer service; and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Preexisting relationships with multiple companies is helpful. The candidate must have strong writing, verbal, and presentation skills, and be able to communicate effectively with a diverse population of high-performing individuals. The successful applicant will have a strong comfort level working in a fast-paced, energetic environment, and able to multitask and meet multiple deadlines. Candidate must also demonstrate initiative as well as project or event management skills, possess an entrepreneurial orientation, and have a proven track record of achievement.
