Using discretion and judgment, sells MFS and its products to mid to small market institutional investors in assigned territory. Collaborating as a team and working independently, coordinates sales activities with members of product management and consultant relations teams to develop new business relationships.
Under direction of Manager develop business plan to maximize territory coverage.
Conduct 10 meetings per month with a targeted breakdown of 7 prospect, 2 Field Consultant and 1 Field Keeper
Engages in 40 quality contacts (substantial conversations that are captured in Sales Logix) per month with plan sponsors to promote MFS products.
Work with various databases to help identify, develop and attack targeted marketing and sales campaigns. Databases include Sales Logix, MMD, eVestment, Brightscope, etc.
Maintains and updates information for each quality contact in SalesLogix.
Attends conferences and training to further build knowledge and skills and shares information about sales trends and industry developments with MFSI personnel.
Complies with all internal and external rules, policies and procedures.
Performs additional responsibilities as required.
Bachelor's degree required. CFA however MBA and post graduate work also beneficial.
Minimum of seven to 10 years' institutional sales experience, or experience with institutional buyers or intermediaries.
Passion for the investment management industry.
Knowledge of Defined Contribution markets and products required.
Excellent presentation skills, as well as strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Strong technical investment knowledge fixed income, multi asset, quantitative & equity.
Strong analytical skills and database experience.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Willingness to travel up to 50% to attend applicable conferences and sales meetings.
Position requires individual to have FINRA Series 7 & 63 registrations in accordance with MFS' licensing policy.
