Job Family Summary

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Accountabilities in this role

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established productivity and accuracy standards
  • Performs one or more warehouse operational functions within the guidelines of the facility (pick, pack, wrap and load orders for our customers)
  • Comfortable working in heights and moving product of 50lbs
  • Operate equipment such as Forklifts and Cherry Pickers
  • Use voice-to-pick systems to complete customer orders

  • High School degree or GED required
  • Good written communication skills
  • Experience with Forklifts or Cherry Picker/Order Pickers preferred
  • 1-2 years experience working within a distribution center
  • Proficient in Microsoft office preferred
