Work as a member of a focused project team in the design and utilization of modeling and simulation (M&S) tools and other operations research methods for use in assessments and capability trade-off analysis.


Assist the lead developer and integrator of an existing Analytical Toolkit based on an MS Access Application and development of the associated tools needed to analyze the data and develop output products from this toolkit. This position will transition to the role of lead developer. Additional duties include development, implementation, and testing of M&S tools, data mining, statistical analysis, and preparation and presentation of analysis results.


Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Operations Research or Engineering with experience in computer programming or software development, specifically as applied to the development and/or use of modeling and simulation tools. A passion for applying analytical methods to solve national security problems and excellent written and oral communications skills are required. Must possess the ability and willingness to multi-task, and be capable of applying innovative analysis to solve client problems. Must be a self-starter with the capacity to work independently and to participate in multifunctional teams. Must possess the ability to prepare and present complex ideas (including modeling methodologies and results) in a clear and coherent form before an audience. Candidates must be proficient in the Microsoft Office. Advanced MS Excel Skills highly desired. Must have experience programming in Visual Basic for Applications. Database/Application development using MS Access is also desired.
