The position will directly support AMC and the MAF Commands to integrate the current G081/MAF Log C2 and data with other AMC and AF system.
This will require the analysis of current information technology (IT) system support services, in the design, development, and implementation and recommend solutions to support new or modified IT capability. The task requires the ability to coordinate with various levels directly support agencies within AMC and supported outside agencies including USTRANSCOM. The candidate will possess the capability to analyze system architecture to ensure logistics requirements supporting the seamless integration of IETMs, fault reporting and maintenance data.
Further this position will be involved in developing initiatives to support increased mission velocity through the use of aircraft onboard fault reporting and its integration with the new initiatives of S1000D IETM capabilities being fielded by the AF.
Utilize logistics background to research, plan, facilitate, validate, test and recommend business process and systems improvements to support of AMC logistics IT efforts.
This will require close coordination with, AF/IL, AMC A Staff and DISA system engineers/programmers, and MAF MAJCOMS.
- Fifteen (15) years of logistics functional and IT experience, ten (10) of which were directly involved in developing and implementing Lean logistics principles and processes and their application to automated C2 and Maintenance IT systems such as GDSS and G081/MAF Log C2.
- At least ten (10) years of involvement with automated maintenance systems and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) development.
- Logistics Acquisition experience is a plus.
