The person in this position is responsible for delivering innovative solutions to develop critical products utilizing creativity to resolve product issues through cross functional teams. He/she works with engineers, test lab personnel and manufacturing operations to evaluate performance. The person in this position works under close supervision. Duties are performed in accordance with Johnstech’s Management System.

Use simulation and validation tools to find creative solutions that improve product performance, cost, manufacturability, quality, reliability, and serviceability.
Communicate technical status of project/assignment to engineering staff and management orally, presentations and written correspondence.
Develop engineering detail and assembly documentation to support manufacturing processes and implementation of product changes.
Work with engineers, manufacturing, design & drafting, test lab and quality to develop or maintain manufacturing processes.

  • Use root cause analysis techniques to identify and report problems, then participate in fixing problems and assist in the improvement of processes and products.
  • Recommend appropriate actions, prioritize tasks, and overcome bottlenecks.
  • Understand Management Policy statements and organizational/departmental objectives. Follows Management System procedures and work instructions.
Perform other duties as assigned.

BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Typically 0 - 2 years experience managing within a manufacturing environment.
Familiar with the semiconductor test industry a plus.
Familiar with project management tools.
Familiar with CAD/CAM software. NX and ANSYS experience a plus.
Good problem resolution skills. Experience with 8D a plus.
Experience with Theory of Constraints a plus.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to communicate technically with others written and orally.
Ability to travel >10%
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
