The College of Business and Public Administration at Eastern Washington University is currently seeking to fill a tenure-track position at the associate professor level in one of the disciplines taught at the college, preferably Marketing, Finance or Entrepreneurship/Management. The successful applicant will be expected to assume the position of associate dean part time.
The annual workload will be determined in accordance with university policies and the needs of the college. Initial workload will include approximately 50% effort devoted to serving as associate dean. Duties include overseeing the assessment efforts required for regional and professional accreditation; monitor faculty publishing efforts and currency and accuracy of information entered into the college database; extract reports; work with faculty to adapt the undergraduate and graduate curricula for relevancy and response to constituents needs; represent the college in university committees and in the community; teach part-time in discipline; maintain a publication record in discipline; serve the university, the community and profession as befits a senior faculty member.

EWU is a regional, comprehensive institution, co-located in Cheney and Spokane. It offers programs at various locations throughout the state. Conditions of Employment : This is a full time faculty position, with a 9 month academic year plus summer contract. Initial assignment will include 48% release time to serve as Associate Dean.
Minimum Qualifications :
* Ph.D. in one of the disciplines taught at the College, preferably Marketing, Finance or Entrepreneurship/Management
* Publication record and experience in academics commensurate to the rank of associate professor with tenure, maintaining a publication rate of three refereed publications in any five-year period
* Demonstrated strong commitment to quality teaching, research and service
* Experience with each of the following: academic leadership, assessment and specialized professional accreditation
* Excellent communication skills
* Understanding and experience in distance learning
* Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency and/or diversity.
Preferred Qualifications :
Prior experience as an Assistant or Associate Dean, or as Chair of a large, complex department.
