Job Description

: The successful candidate will execute projects in the discipline of manufacturing process development. The products to be manufactured are recombinant biopharmaceutical proteins and the individual should have an understanding of microbial fermentation and/or mammalian cell culture technologies. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining lab equipment, raw material and consumable lab inventory, executing experimental procedures, and performing data logging and plotting in process development labs. Main areas of responsibilitiy include:

Execution of lab experimental procedures with good success rate and thorough documentation.
· Responsible for maintaining lab equipment, inventory, executing experimental protocols, performing data logging and plotting in process development labs.
· Developing proficiency with microbial fermentation/cell culture equipment including troubleshooting.
· Provide input into experimental scheduling and execution planning via set-up, equipment prep and supplies ordering.
· Assist Sr Scientist to prepare presentations of development for internal and external customers.
· Assist tech transfer and scale up efforts
Required education and experience include: *
  • BS and 1+ years of direct lab experience with methods to analyze protein molecules *
  • Direct experience with plate based ELISA assays *
  • Experience in one of the following fields, HPLC, electrophoresis or spectroscopy *
  • Good interpersonal skills, the ability to work indivudually or as part of a team, and problem solving capabilities of standard laboratory techniques *
  • Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with defined deliverables and deadlines
