BioAnalytical Sciences Department has an opening for a Mass Spectrometry Associate
Scientist/Scientist. The candidate will explore proteomics and affinity mass spectrometry-based
methods to develop novel strategies to assess the pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics and
biotransformations of biotherapeutic proteins for preclinical and clinical
studies. The work will include the characterization of structural changes in
biotherapeutic proteins in plasma and quantitative analysis including biotherapeutic proteins, pharmacodynamic markers and biomarkers. The candidate will work in an interactive, fast-paced,
multi-disciplinary group setting in drug development and have the opportunity
to contribute to developing novel therapies.
Who you are
In hiring new employees, we look for people who are also inspired by our mission and who would fit in well with the collaborative, rigorous and entrepreneurial spirit of the company culture. Because we know that employees are critical to our success in
Where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.
A recent Ph.D. in Analytical
Chemistry (or related discipline) with specialization in biological mass
spectrometry. Hands-on experience in mass spectrometry, proteomics and
chromatographic methods. A proven track record of solving complex bioanalytical
problems must be demonstrated. Expertise in the analysis of proteins using electrospray
or nanoelectrospray ionization and LC/MS/MS instruments is preferred. A motivated and flexible team player with excellent
interpersonal skills. Good oral and
written communication skills. Knowledge of other mass spectrometry techniques,
bioanalytical methods and automation are a plus.
