GoPro is seeking a top tier candidate for the Associate Software QA Engineer role. The position will be responsible for testing our GoPro CineForm Studio line of video software (Windows/Mac), including tools for video and audio editing (titling, color-correction, effects, content sharing, etc.) The Associate Software QA Engineer will also be responsible for testing Wi-Fi integration and new features in our mobile applications (iOS/Android/WP8), including working with entire line of GoPro hardware, firmware and software products. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, tech-savvy, self-starter with willingness to learn.
Execute the quality test plan for each new product/program
Write quality test plans based on PRDs
Design and verify test cases using functional requirements and UI specifications
Perform regression/verification testing for new software releases
Meet scheduled deadlines for assigned deliverables
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful and high quality releases
Contribute to evaluation, equipment requirements and scheduling discussion
Work with other QA members to instill best practice methods and documentation
Bachelor's Degree or related experience required
Experience in and be comfortable working with ALL operating systems supported by GoPro software products (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and WP8)
Experience with bug-tracking tools and database systems
Intermediate to Advanced skills with video and audio post-production workflow
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and best judgment
Background in Software Quality Assurance or extensive knowledge of specific GoPro products, software development and life cycle process and/or general IT troubleshooting
Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with the following non-linear editing tools: Avid, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and After Effects, Sony Vegas
Knowledge of audio and video formats, codecs
Experience writing and executing software test plans
Beginner to Intermediate camera operator (photo and/or video) skills
Experience with mobile app testing and personal experience as a smart device user
Experience with Wi-Fi technology and low level software integration and testing
