Assistant Director of Residence/Student Rights & Responsibilities

Reports to Residence Hall Program Administration; serves as a primary advocate for student success and leads efforts to respond to student issues within the Department of Residence; provides leadership, direction, and supervision to professional staff; manages the department's response to student critical incidents; administers the Department of Residence Standards of Conduct; and provides oversight and coordination for the development of the Panther Planner.

Master's degree in higher education administration, college student personnel or related field plus at least four years of leadership experience in college or university housing required. Experience managing student discipline; previous supervisory experience; demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse populations; and an ability to lead teams and effectively communicate with others also required. Strong problem solving skills; proficiency in written and oral communication; and management, organizational, and administrative skills preferred. On-call, evening, weekend, and holiday work necessary. Criminal and other relevant background checks required.
