The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is recruiting an atmospheric scientist to work on projects related to high resolution climate modeling using global and regional climate models. The selected candidate will work with a team of climate modelers on evaluating global and regional approaches to high resolution modeling and apply the models to understand water cycle processes, including the role of clouds and land-atmosphere and/or atmosphere-ocean interactions on water cycle variations and extremes.

- Curriculum vitae with a list of publications in refereed journals.

A Bachelor''s degree with at least 7 years experience or a Master''s degree with 5 years experience or a Ph.D. with 3 years is required.
Must be a technical expert who selects and widely applies principles, theories and concepts in a major field of specialization.
All staff at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory must be able to demonstrate the legal right to work in the United States.
A Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science with 9 years of relevant experience. Candidates with experience in regional and global climate models, terrestrial and cloud process modeling, and familiarity with high performance computing are preferred.
