Audio Software Architect
The candidate will be joining SII (SW Innovation and Infrastructure) team in the Mobile and Communications Group (MCG). The team is responsible for development of media components for Intel SoC based Windows tablets. In addition, this group owns the creation of One Trunk Model (OTM) to facilitate SW scalability for several SW components and driving SW reuse across teams in Intel Architecture Group (IAG). The candidate will join as a lead developer/architect in the audio team. This is a hands-on development role and will require engagement with platform architecture/silicon design teams to lead design and development efforts of a wide range of complex features in the audio software stack. Other responsibilities include leading debug of difficult problems involving hardware and/or multiple software subsystems and mentoring SW engineers in the team.
Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience. Masters Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering is preferred.
Minimum of 10+ years hands-on experience in developing software drivers and firmware and leading collaborative SW development.
Demonstrated success in designing and leading implementation of complex software architectures to aggressive deadlines.
Prior expertise in developing windows audio driver is highly desirable.
Knowledge of IA architecture and experience with development of consumer based devices such as tablets, mobile phones is highly desirable.
