Performance-based Solutions, Inc, headquartered in Alexandria, VA, is recruiting for Auto CAD Technicians in support of a contract with the USCG in Juneau, Alaska and Norfolk, VA. This will be a two month assignment. Hardware and associated software will be provided during the duration of the assignment. Start date is TBD. Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreation and manipulation of Library Cards for projects using the Coast Guard Technical Information Management (CGTIMS) Systems. Prepare letters, spreadsheets, presentations and various types of correspondence (Microsoft Office Applications). Uses Autodesk AutoCAD program in the areas of drawing, editing, photo interpretation, and vectorization to produce a variety of products to meet internal and/or external client requirements.Update as-built/record of original site plans for use by enrollment teams during Site Visit, then produces Official plot Plan (OPP) based on data collected. Submit to the USCG COTR and Contracting Officer (KO). Populates Asset Enrollment Templates' (AETs) with data provided from federal employee as a result of Real Property Asset Enrolment /Validation site cameras and manipulate data using government provided software. Populate specific fields within the AET with raw data provided from various government employees. Manipulate AutoCADD files provided by the government and format as required for insertion on the AET. This requires area calculations for buildings and various structures and specific data field entry. AET file management per CG Shareware' tracking system.Each AET managed by the contractor represents a single asset package'. Responsible for providing support in electronic mapping. This work includes collecting and manipulation of GPS data, and the development of maps and CAD drawings. Directly inputs coordinate information using the principles of cartography including coordinate systems, longitude, latitude, elevation, topography, and map scales.Use GIS program package (Arc/Info, ArcView, and MS Access) to input, edit, prepare and produce various maps, related geographic database information and other GIS tools and products. Compiles geographic data from a variety of sources including censuses, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing maps. Analyzes geographic relationships among varying types of data. Assists in developing geographic database structures, tables, forms and reports. Responds to user requests for standard or custom maps, charts, graphs, GIS analysis, GIS projects and related information.
One to two years of experience is required. Before an Offer is made, passing of a background investigation is mandatory.
