Successfully introduce the WSI Aviation Decision Support solutions & capabilities to the APAC aviation market
  • Working closely with the Boston-based management team, analyze market opportunities, develop/refine sensible business development strategies, and implement the resulting action plans to drive market penetration and sales expansion across the APAC region
  • Travel frequently (approx. 50%) across APAC to build relationships with key customers/prospects and cultivate new market opportunities
  • Proactively attend industry trade events
  • Sell consultatively by employing Solutions Selling or similar techniques
  • Create effective presentations and RFP responses that effectively addresses prospects’ business needs/problems and differentiates WSI solutions against other alternatives based on measurable benefits/ROI
  • Work closely with the Division General Manager to identify and secure strategic alliances & partnerships designed to strengthen market position and accelerate revenue growth
  • Collaborate effectively and seamlessly with the internal team members in Global Sales, Product Marketing, Engineering and Marketing Communications to secure/align appropriate resources in support of the APAC sales & business development efforts
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of the APAC sales & business development activities and results
  • Meet or exceed quarterly & annual business development goals, as measured by new customer acquisition and revenue attainment

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in business, marketing, engineering, related technical field or a related aeronautical program.

    • 5 years of progressive sales & business development experience, preferably in Aerospace/Aviation.

    Skills/Competencies Required:
    • Proven track record of achieving sales and business development goals in highly technical and complex sales environments
    • Strategic thinker and heavily process driven with experience applying formal professional solution sales methods and processes
    • Technical aviation/aerospace background with strong network and contacts in Asia Pacific
    • Proven experience pursuing, negotiating and capturing complex and high-value contracts with major APAC aviation accounts or strategic partners
    • Highly motivated and self-directed with a strong business work ethic
    • Strong written and oral communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
    • Fluency in English a must; fluency in another language(s) spoken widely in APAC preferred
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Willingness to travel and work with global team, customers, and partners
    • Broad knowledge and experience in operational aviation and weather decision support solutions a plus
