This is a Full-time position.
NC Early Childhood Credential or equivalent (NCECC) and Birth-through-Kindergarten (B-K) Standard Professional I licensure or provisional licensure in B-K, or Preschool Add-on licensure issued from the Department of Public Instruction.
2 years verifiable early childhood work experience
Experience providing services to children with disabilities preferred.
Provide quality education to children ages 3-5 in an inclusive child care center.
Develop and implement age appropriate lesson plans, complete developmental assessments, maintain various documentation (creative curriculum, IEP, etc).
Knowledge of child development and recommended practices in service provision for children who are typically developing and those with or at risk for developmental or behavioral/emotional disabilities.
Ability to supervise and interact effectively with many young children at one time.
Ability to maintain professional collaborative relationships with parents service coordinators, LEA representatives and other professionals.
Understand services for children and families as dictated by IDEA parts C&B including parental rights, family centered services and natural environment practices. Understand relationship of ESUCP to agencies with which we contract to provide part C & B services.
Working knowledge of responsibilities and accountability related to any grant funded activities.
Experience working with a multidisciplinary team preferred.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills including clarity and articulation of thought, appropriate grammar, style, form and punctuation.
