Currently, YAP employs more than 2,000 dedicated workers and serves approximately 10,000 families per year. Our mission is to engage human service systems so that they rely less on institutional care and to invest more in supporting families and neighborhoods. We currently work with child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health, disability and education systems to develop and offer community-based alternatives for the highest risk children, young people, young adults and families.

Summary of the Position: Assist with oversight of B2H and OMH Waiver services in the Lower Hudson Valley Region (Counties of responsibility: Ulster, Orange, Westchester and Sullivan). Provide training/supervision to maintain contractual compliance and to ensure compliance with all regulations governing services. This position will encompass the duties of day-to-day operation of the Bridges to Health and OMH Waiver programs. To be supervised directly by the Program Director, this person will act as Agency liaison to Children's Village and Astor Home for Children HCIA and Ulster AMH staff throughout the Lower Hudson Valley Region as needed. Direct supervision of Waiver staff, maintaining accurate employee records, accepting and opening referrals and assigning staff will be integral components of this position. This is a full- time position and will encompass the following: Recruit, train and supervise staff in the Lower Hudson Region, direct service provision, process paperwork weekly, perform intakes of new clients, liaison with Children's Village and Astor Home for Children to include referrals and paperwork submission, periodically review clinical records to ensure they are in compliance with regulations, maintain weekly tracking form for BH services and PR profile of available staff to provide HCIAs.

Qualifications/Requirements: Requirements for this position include a Bachelors degree in Psychology or related field and 2-4 years experience in child welfare/mental health. Intimate knowledge of Waiver services and the ability to supervise staff are a must. Willingness to participate in additional trainings is also necessary. Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license and car insurance limits of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability. This position requires background checks to be completed.
