About the Role:
As a valued member of our remarkable development team youll play a vital role in the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, administration and configuration of solutions for an enterprise-reporting environment. As a collaborative member of the team youll share your experience, best practices and tips with your team members to help us continue building a world class technology organization that works in concert with our business partners.
What youll be doing:
Develop and maintain reports, cubes, dashboards, portals, and scripts for reporting environment Develop and maintain standards for reporting administration and operation including the scheduling, running, monitoring, logging, management of errors, recovery from failures, and validation of outputs for reporting environment Gather reporting requirements and work directly with business stakeholders; Ability to influence the outcome Analyze business requirements as they relate to the reporting environment, research, evaluate and recommend alternative solutions; you proactively seek enhancements Design and implement reporting best practices, standards and procedures Assist in the Administration and maintenance of the reporting environment; Assist with software upgrades as necessary; Tier 2 production support; Your expertise will contribute to an architecture standards document for future code design, team based-development and code release management Participate in code/design reviews and code walkthroughs Conduct reporting process design and sizing estimates Unit, integration, system, and user acceptance level testing of reporting environment
What were looking for from you:
Advanced knowledge of Cognos Business Intelligence Minimum 3 years of qualified development experience required Experience supporting multi-cube, multi-user environment Framework Manger, Transformer, PowerPlay Studio, Analysis Studio, Report Studio, Insight/Advance Access Manager, Active Directory and Group/Roles security Train power users Knowledge of Data Integration and Data Warehousing concepts Excellent SQL programming skills and relational database knowledge Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills Impeccable written and oral communication skills Advanced level of comfort working with business users and department heads Proficiency with data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schemas, highly normalized data models) Knowledge of scripting languages necessary for administration and operation of application platforms Experience with relational database management systems such as Oracle and SQL Server Advanced level of data quality and data validation procedures Knowledge of Windows 2008 and/or Linux server operating systems In depth experience in requirements gathering and analysis; Experience with SCRUM a plus SAS coding experience a plus ETL/Informatica experience is a plus
