BI Analyst / Developer works with business partners and COE staff to translate and prioritize requirements for assigned project focus and maintenance work. Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and manage requests for changes to the specifications. Determine which business requirements should be automated and how they can be integrated with other business / technical processes.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Executes cross functional business intelligence projects by closely interacting with business intelligence leaders, managers and consultants
  • Works under the guidance of Information Technology staff to identify, rationalize and document the requirements
  • Translates overall requirements into functional specifications which detail the approach taken to address and resolve business needs

    Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or related IT Degree (or minimum 2 years of hands-on IT work experience)
    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be willing to work out of an office in Visteon Village, Wayne County, Van Buren Township (near Ann Arbor / Detroit)
  • Must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act

    Desired Characteristics
  • Passion for IT
  • IT experience related to programming languages such as Java, C / C++, Java Script, VB / .net, shell scripting, Python, Ruby
  • IT experience related to Data management technologies such as relational (Oracle, MS SQL, my SQL) and / or In-memory and or columnar databases and or unstructured data
  • Experience in project management methodology (PMM)
  • Experience with full cycle of conceptual design
  • Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities
  • Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
  • Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
  • Strong analytical skills – strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
  • Change oriented – actively generates process improvements, supports and drives change and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways
