Performs testing and production QC on all benefit and provider (ancillary, hospital and physician) configuration tasks (Schenectady and Rochester contracting) for all of MVP s processing systems (Facets and Price N Ship). Develops and maintains Access queries and databases, test plans, test case scenarios and detailed test scripts. Access queries, test cases/scenarios are used to validate system configuration against source documentation. Identifies and reports defect results and tracks/monitors error trends to respective configuration teams via Mercury Quality Center. Assists Level III Testing Analyst in the development, improvement and automation of testing and QC processes. Assists Operation s Core Systems Development team by testing their system projects. Performs testing on quarterly patch updates as well as system upgrades. Defines, analyzes and re-engineers department workflows for process improvement. Performs system analysis; analyzing and evaluating existing operational systems to aid in the creation of accurate test scripts. Performs post implementation analysis on system fixes, modifications, and new configuration. Responsible for maintaining and filing of detailed documentation on each project as needed for Audit requirements. Key job responsibilities included in Performance Appraisal: meeting or exceeding project turnaround time for provider and/or benefit configuration (7 business days), meeting or exceeding assigned project estimated completion date (95%) and provider and/or benefit testing projects must be completed with 98% accuracy as per Departmental Quality Assurance Policy and Procedure.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education: Four-year college degree or a combination of education and directly related business experience.

Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 years baseline claims processing.

Required Skills:
" Claims processing experience
" Benefit interpretation experience
" Exceptional organizational and strong written and verbal communication skills required
" 1-2 yrs. background in system analysis, testing and system file maintenance
" Superior attention to detail required
" Proven computer proficiency and ability; knowledge of MS Access and Excel

Preferred Skills:
" Knowledge of Mercury Quality Center
" Familiar with process improvement methodologies
" Knowledge of Service IDs
" Knowledge of NetworX
