The Business Development Consultant is responsible for sales of Runzheimer’s Total Employee Mobility Solutions, which include Business Vehicle Reimbursement programs, Time and Expense Solutions, smart traveler solutions, GPS-based productivity tools, and Mobile Watch device management plans. The individual will be responsible for meeting and/or exceeding individual annual revenue targets for software and service-based solutions. The position reports to the Director of Business Development. A true “hunter,” the successful professional has strong prospecting and lead generation capabilities, along with the solution selling execution skills required to progress and close opportunities with c-level executives – especially those with Finance titles.

Develops sales opportunities through prospecting, cold calling and marketing lead generation

Successful experience identifying, qualifying, presenting, negotiation and closing new business

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Meets and/or exceeds established performance metrics for prospecting, sales presentations, proposals and closed business

Ability to present ROI – financial based selling solutions to VP level prospective clients

Develops and maintains an effective sales and marketing plan for multiple products in their geographic territory

Properly forecasts monthly, quarterly and annual revenue

Collaborates with product management and sales management on industry, market and customer insights

Prepare and maintain appropriate administrative duties to include crm, forecasting, pipeline and calendar.

Understanding of SaaS-based solutions, travel and mobility services and solutions.

The North Central Region covers MI, OH, PA, DE, S NJ, MD, WV, KY

Required Skills

Required Experience

Minimum of 5 years sales experience in business to business software sales and/or consultative sales

Bachelor degree in marketing, business or equivalent

Strong knowledge of travel and mobility software products and services

Strong lead generation capabilities

Strong solution sales capabilities

Successful experience identifying, qualifying and closing new business

Proven ability to accurately forecast monthly, quarterly and annually

Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

Decisive and energetic with professional, enthusiastic attitude

Travel requirement: 40-50%
