New opportunity based in the greater tri-state area for a Business Development Manager with commercial, retail, chain, and/ or industrial national account experience to lead the development, generation, and execution of energy efficiency and commercial program solutions throughout North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to target, market, generate, and close the sale of direct and utility energy efficiency and commercial program solutions, including Utility Direct Install Programs.
Lead the development of new national account business relationships and contact key decision makers to position, communicate, promote, and sell Ameresco commercial solutions and services.
Visit customer sites to perform energy audits and analysis, identify conservation and efficiency cost savings opportunities, and gain full understanding of business goals, operations, challenges, and requirements.
Drive and manage business development activities, pipeline, and resources to generate new opportunities, increase sales, provide on-time cost-effective service delivery, and achieve customer relationship, financial, and performance goals.
Serve as key point of contact with customer, lead all presentations, and oversee the successful development, positioning, preparation, and issuance of winning proposals and presentations.
Coordinate project interface with implementation, management, and operations teams to assure customer satisfaction.
Monitor account plan progress, including market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity.
Exhibit comprehensive knowledge and understanding of project proposal and contract terms.
Seek internal technical guidance and project support to ensure full customer satisfaction.
Perform other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years direct large scale energy efficiency project sales leadership experience focusing on national accounts or commercial and industrial markets and utility DSM programs.
Proven track record securing large scale national account and commercial market sales involving energy efficiency solutions and complex offerings, including lead development and account cultivation skills, effective negotiation and closing techniques, and excellent relationship management capabilities.
Excellent verbal, written, computer, and technical communication and presentation skills.
Bachelor Degree. Advanced or active progress toward industry-related education desirable.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and quantify energy and operational needs, use, and savings projections for energy efficiency projects.
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to follow through on multiple tasks and priorities.
Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
May be required to pass security clearance.
Travel required.
