New opening with Ameresco’s Federal Solutions Team for a Business Development Manager to promote, market, and drive energy efficiency, conservation, and renewable technology solution sales opportunities.
Strategically identify, pre-qualify and acquire high potential customers for the sale of energy savings performance contract (ESPC), utility energy services contract (UESC), design/ build, and alternative financed energy efficiency and renewable technology solutions
Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales and revenue objectives.
Successfully develop, organize, strategically position, prepare, and issue winning proposals and presentations.
Coordinate the implementation interface with project management and operations teams to assure customer objectives and expectations are being met or exceeded.
Serve as key point of contact with Customer and support proposal effort and presentations.
Exhibit comprehensive knowledge and understanding of entire proposal, customer requirements, and contract terms.
Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of Company product and service offerings as well as vertical market, energy efficiency and renewable technology developments.
Make recommendations to management regarding opportunities to accelerate and maximize sales.
Provide timely and realistic updates to sales pipeline report.
Cultivate and foster customer relationships.
Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.
Minimum 5 years progressive experience marketing energy efficiency, engineering, lighting, demand side management, or renewable technology solutions to federal government sector customers, with proven ability to effectively communicate energy solutions, and position Ameresco as provider of choice.
Proven sales lead development and account cultivation strengths with ability to identify customer energy needs, articulate energy solutions, effectively negotiate and secure sales of complex offerings from top-level management.
Federal, ESPC/ UESC, GSA, UMCS, Renewables PPA program familiarity preferred.
Strong verbal, written, computer communication and technical presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and positive business relationships.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
