Duties Summary:

Plan, organize, direct and coordinate comprehensive business office services in support of the operations of a hospital, institutional or transportation facilities management program; supervise clerical and technical assistants; and perform other related duties as assigned.

The position manages and coordinates administrative office services functions involving procurement, fiscal, budget, personnel, expenditures, planning, and data/statistical collection. This includes responsibility for budget activities; establishing polices and procedures in accordance with rules and regulations; participating in management relative to budgetary controls; approving fiscal disbursements; ensuring control of allocated funds; and developing and maintaining recordkeeping systems for personnel and fiscal transactions.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

General Experience: Four years of progressively responsible business office and administrative housekeeping work experience which included the full range of office services in records and files maintenance, word and mail processing, and reception and related services, and responsibility for at least two of the following areas: a) fiscal recordkeeping; b) budget preparation; c) purchasing; d) inventory control; and e) personnel services.

Supervisory Experience: One year of work experience which included: a) planning, organizing, scheduling and directing the work of others; b) assigning and reviewing their work; c) advising them on difficult problem areas; d) training and developing new employees; and e) evaluating their work performance.
