The IT Business Analyst/Project Manager is responsible for providing project management, business process analysis and administrative support for IT-related initiatives for Bakersfield Mercy/Memorial Hospitals. The position reports directly to the Dignity Health IT Site Director for Bakersfield Mercy/Memorial Hospitals. This position directly interfaces with staff, enterprise Dignity Health-IT personnel, physicians, and other licensed independent providers. Responsibilities of the position include the following: • Works collaboratively with leadership, business owners, the Dignity Health IT Site Director, Clinical Informaticists, and ancillary department analysts to confirm project scope and requirements, assist in project prioritization, monitor and manage project progress, and support project implementation, with the goal of driving efficient, high quality patient care and regulatory compliance. • Works with the IT Site Director to monitor progress toward achieving successful implementation of the initiatives identified on Mercy/Memorial Hospital’s Information Technology Strategic Plan. • Prepares for and supports key IT meetings and attends other related IT meetings that support the collaboration between Dignity Health Enterprise Information Technology and business operations. These Values include Dignity, Collaboration, Justice, Stewardship, and Excellence. 5 years information technology experience required. 7 years project management experience preferred. Project management experience in a healthcare environment preferred. IT or equivalent professional experience required. Bachelors Degree in a related field preferred. Thorough understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques. Strong team leader and motivator. Strong risk assessment skills. Proven abilities in problem management, process analysis, and root cause analysis. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a complex, matrixed, and virtual team environment. Capable of handling multiple tasks, establishing priorities, and developing project schedules. Skills in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Visio, and specifically, Microsoft Project. Good presentation skills and experience in presenting complex plans to executive-level management. Ability to create, manage, and enhance customer relationships. Good understanding of clinical and business systems. Skills in understanding programming, database structures, and application system design.
