Buys consultatively & recommends to prospects & clients various solutions the company offers to improve or resolve their business issues.
Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a deal, resulting in the taking of market share from competitors.
Demonstrates ability to converse with business owners & decision makers.
Complete understanding of pricing & proposal models.
Responsible for meeting or exceeding buying/sourcing quotas.
Participates in a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, direct mail, email & networking.
Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
Maintains accurate records of all buying/sourcing & prospecting activities including closed sales & follow-up activities within their assigned territory, including the use of Microsoft Outlook.
Outcalls all potential suppliers that fall within the marketing strategy (bids & auctions).
Reports all troubled account to Marketing Management.
Regularly attends buyer's meetings, seminars, conferences, workshops, etc.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures & business ethics codes & ensures that they are communicated & implemented within the team.
4-8 yrs. of related material or business experience, PC skills, including Excel; sales & negotiation tactics; demonstrates buying/selling skills & product knowledge. Strong oral & written communication skills
Education Required/ Key Skills:
Relationship-oriented, team player, organized, professional manner, confident, proactive/self-motivated, people person, communicator, flexible, responsive, direct, intuitive, enthusiastic, persistent, B.S. or B.A Degree preferrable.
