Back-up meat cutter will cover lead meat cutter days off and fill other shifts in the department as needed. Ordering, receiving products and processing invoices. Actively plan for appropriate product levels to cover weekly ad items, benefits and events. Ensure proper product rotation in walk in cooler and freezer. Maintain case sets as established by meat merchandiser and meat manager. Responsible for maintaining margin through proper cutting set by merchandiser and meat manager.
Previous work experience as a chef, cook, prep cook, restaurant or similar knife handling and meat cutting experience preferred. Supervisory experience helpful. Knowledge and experience in food safety is essential. Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds with or without assistance. Food Handler card
