Essential Functions:
Thawing, proofing, and baking-off of product
Packing and displaying baked product
Bakery clerk duties
Customer Relations · Acknowledge customers and provide prompt assistance and courteous service.
Have concern for all customer suggestions and special requests, assist customers with special orders.
Communicate new and on-going programs to customers.
Adhere to all standards outlined in the Customer 1 st Program.
Employee Relations
Assist in training personnel when assigned.
Maintain good communication in the department and throughout the organization.
Notify manager of personnel situation or policy violations having adverse effect on store operations performance or of situations requiring disciplinary action or that may potentially require action.
Labor Control
Record all shift hours in the Kronos Biometric Reader.
Achieve established benchmarks by working with a “sense of urgency".
Honestly keep breaks and lunches within the prescribed limits.
Supply Control
Control excessive use of supplies.
Inventory Control
Handle damaged or spoiled product according to company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods.
Control inventory of all supplies including proper replenishment, as required, in check stands.
Demonstrate knowledge of department products so as to help customers, employees and ensure good quality control.
Notify management/scanning of all pricing errors; write up items not in file.
Follow shrink procedures according to company policy for all departments.
Adhere to all policies and procedures regarding Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) and the Fresh Insights Program.
Observe security standards by staying alert and aware. Report to management any suspicious behavior of customers or employees.
Keep individual payment receipt with you during breaks and lunch periods.
Maintenance and Safety
Comply fully with all safety policies and procedures.
Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with store policy and state and local health regulations on a regular, on going basis.
Communicate to store manager and store support of any equipment problems or malfunctions.
Knowledge of store compressors, generators, MSDS Information and riser system in case of emergency situations.
