DESCRIPTION

The Crowne Plaza Cabana Hotel in Palo Alto is seeking two Cooks for our kitchen to assist with banquets.

Fresh from a recent renovation and refurbish of the entire hotel top to bottom, the Cabana is poised to place itself at the pinnacle of the full service hotels in the Palo Alto area. We are a 194 room hotel whose facilities extend over nearly 17,000sq. ft. of meeting and event space that includes a ballroom to accommodate 400 and a beautiful outdoor courtyard & pool. We are located in the center of Silicon Valley adjacent to Stanford University.
BPR Properties is a small family owned and oriented company focusing its efforts in Northern California, and operating a variety of full and limited service hotels which include branded and independent boutique properties.

DUTIES

The main duties will be to prepare and present food to the standards and expectations prescribed by the Executive Chef, Banquets Sous Chef and the Hotel. The right candidate will be able to ensure that recipe cards are followed, will be a team player, will be able to cover banquet cook shifts, have good knife skills, can handle stressful situations, is able to work in a fast paced environment, safety and sanitation knowledge a must, and must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be flexible to work all shifts including some weekend and holiday shifts. Full time and part time positions available.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation from a Culinary Academy given top preference.
  • At least 1 year experience as Cook required
  • Hotel restaurant experience preferred
