This position is primarily responsible for serving guests in banquet dining rooms by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Obtains linen, silver, glassware, and china to set tables.
Arranges settings on tables.
Serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving.
Maintains assigned station, including table pieces, side stands, and chairs.
Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
Answers questions regarding food preparation.
Sets up and takes down tables, chairs and other furniture as needed for banquet events.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
