Trumpet Behavioral Health (TBH) provides effective, intensive in-home therapy for young children (1-3 years of age) diagnosed with autism. We also provide intensive behavioral therapy for children with special needs, ages 1 - 22 years.
We are looking for Part Time positive & energetic Skills Trainers who have a passion for working with children especially those with special needs in the Bay area.
We will be interviewing in preparation of our next New Hire Training which is schedule for the end of September!

What you will be doing:
- *Mandatory New Hire Training will be held for one week starting April 22nd (8:30-4:30 daily). You must attend the full training in order to be eligible for hiring. The New Hire Training is paid at $8 per hour. Once you begin working you will move to your hire rate and after 90 days you will be eligible for a $1 raise based on performance.
For younger children:
Implement programs based on ABA principles that increase communication, self-help, social and play skills.
Manage inappropriate behaviors that occur.
Keep the children motivated to learn.
Accurately record information on the child's progress.
Be courteous & professional with families, organizations & children and represent TBH in a positive light.
Toileting may be required
And any other duties dictated by the Management Team
For older children:
Implement the behavior plan provided.
Keep the child motivated and engaged.
Facilitate interactions with peers.
Manage problem behaviors that occur.
Communicate confidentially and professionally with behavior analysts, teachers, parents and principals.
Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs
Toileting may be required
And any other duties that may be needed or assigned
We are looking for great team members who are willing and able to drive around the Martinez, Pittsburg areas
What you will need to be successful in this position:
Must have experience working with children
You must be bil-lingual, English and Spanish
Must have experience working in a school setting with individuals with special needs
Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis or discrete trail training is beneficial
An Associate’s Degree or B.A. in Psychology, Education, Special Education or related field highly desirable. Candidates with incomplete degrees will be considered based on experience.
Must have reliable transportation and a working cell phone
