Supervise billing and support activities and ensure that all support issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Prioritize issues and strategize the workload to achieve maximum results with the least effort and time.

Act as a liaison with Offshore staff.

Identify training issues and ensure training where needed.

Create and document processes in the department and between Billing Operations & Support and other Schumacher Group departments.

Monitors staff’s performance, set realistic performance goals and address performance issues.

Create and run reports to ensure efficient monitoring of the activities in the department.

Provide managers with metrics necessary to coordinate staffing, production goals, quality monitoring, and other management areas.

Trend and monitor performance metrics to assist managers in implementing solutions with high dollar revenue improvement potential.

Coordinate with other departments in identifying and resolving billing problems.

Communicate industry changes to the CEO, COO and departmental managers.

Monitor and maintain a high level of productivity and quality of work within the department.

Perform standard supervisory tasks such as hiring and training new employees, performance reviews, performance counseling, conflict resolution, terminations, payroll, etc.

Manage the administrative aspects of the department to assure:
$$Working files and policy and procedure manuals are developed and maintained
$$Adequate staffing levels are achieved
$$Budgetary guidelines are followed
$$Workflow is efficient and effective
$$High levels of morale are sustained

Participate in various committees as required

Participate in problem resolution at all levels

Be a role model within the department by exhibiting mature leadership qualities such as a positive outlook, confidentiality, respect, and team spirit.

Qualifications

High School diploma required

Experience

Previous experience in the Medical Billing industry

Knowledge of GE Centricity billing systems (preferred but not required)

Knowledge of SalesForce (preferred but not required)

Requirements

Must be extremely detail oriented and organized, a self –starter capable of tracking deadlines and meeting goals.

Ability to work autonomously and as a team member, with little supervision required once a goal is assigned.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

May require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending, and reaching for files and supplies.

Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, answer a telephone, run a copier and other office equipment as necessary.
