The successful applicant will be a broadly trained plant scientist. Teaching responsibilities will include upper level field-oriented Plant Taxonomy and Plant Ecology courses, and possible participation in a Range Management course and core courses such as Biology I & II. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in teaching and mentoring in our on-campus and on-line M.S. programs, undergraduate advising, and appropriate service responsibilities. The candidate will also be expected to establish a research program emphasizing field-based studies enthusiastically involving undergraduate students in the teacher-scholar model, and to seek extramural funding.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

Required: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a relevant field of Biology earned by the appointment date, post-doctoral study preferred but not required, a strong commitment to undergraduate education, and be able to foster a collaborative atmosphere among students and faculty.
