The Biomedical Sciences Department seeks a Microbiology Affiliate faculty member for Fall 2013. An appropriate degree (ie. Masters, Ph.D. or M.D.) with demonstrated teaching experience in microbiology as well as excellent communication skills and interactions with students is required. An opportunity to teach other undergraduate courses will depend on departmental needs and the candidate's background and experience. Affiliate faculty teach 15 to 18 credit hours per semester often a mixture of both laboratory and lectures courses. The initial appointment is for one year, followed by an opportunity for a second year appointment. Thereafter, affiliate faculty are eligible for renewable three year contracts.
