          MISSION / SUMMARY:

          To drive the achievement of Lean Six Sigma performance by building a culture of continuous improvement through use of Six Sigma Black Belt practices and other Continuous Improvement strategies throughout the business unit.

          JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

          Lead Six Sigma Black Belt projects within and across operations to optimize performance.

          Deliver significant Continuous Improvement Cost Savings through the execution of complex, division-wide Six Sigma projects.

          Train and mentor site Black Belts, Lean Leaders and other improvement personnel in Lean Six Sigma Methodology.

          Create opportunities for plants to share and develop best practices with Lean Six Sigma.

          Build and develop improved operations, processes, and procedures to support the Company strategic direction

          Facilitate a high level of employee participation on teams and in events to foster high involvement, accountability and results.

          BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

          A minimum three – five years increasingly responsible hands-on manufacturing industry experience.

          Must have prior experience in leading Six Sigma Black Belt level projects.

          Must have prior experience in influencing across functional and organization boundaries

          Must have excellent leadership skills and be able to lead in a fast-paced environment.

          Prior experience in leading Lean Kaizen Events is desirable.

          Packaging industry experience is desirable

          EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

          Four-year college degree, is recommended (ideally with engineering, business management, or operations focus)

          Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification required.

          Knowledge in lean tools (SMED, TPM, 5S, Standard Work, Material Pull Systems, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management, etc.) is desirable.

          SPECIFIC SKILLS:

          Dynamic, flexible team player with demonstrated ability to lead and develop others

          Excellent facilitation, communication and presentation skills

          Proficient with MS Office Suite, personal communication tools

          Strong Self Starter

          Strong organizational skills

          Ability to travel (50% - 75%)
