We are seeking multiple MID-LEVEL BRIDGE / STRUCTURES ENGINEERS interested in project opportunities, such as the SR520 Project and other large projects.
These positions will prepare calculations, complete computer analysis and develop design details for bridges, lids, retaining walls and fish passage structures. Perform complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects. Perform quality control of calculations and plan sheets. Perform or review response spectra seismic analyses, push-over analyses, superstructure and substructure design, quantity takeoffs, prepare specifications, write technical structural reports and develop and/or review structural plan sheets. Perform daily design management, guide standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details & use Microstation, SAP 2000, LARSA, CONBOX, DFSAP, and PGSuper software. Perform structural load calculations. Serve as a technical lead in structure geometric layout, design and quantity development. Review, assign work and/or check design calculations and quantities by junior engineers and EITs.
-BSCE required, MSCE in Structural Engineering preferred
-at least 7 years bridge/structural design experience required
-PE required. SE preferred
-Experience with WSDOT bridge design manual (BDM) and detailing standards required
-Experience using Microsoft Office Software and Microstation
-Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software
-Experience in seismic design and analysis of bridges
-Experience in preparing Preliminary Plans using WSDOT Standards preferred
-Experience in preparing Final Plans using WSDOT Standards preferred
-Experience in writing specification and preparing cost estimates using WSDOT Standards preferred.
