The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services is seeking a highly motivated, skilled and experienced individual to assist in the development, preparation and submission of the annual and biennial operating budgets, addenda and amendments. Allocates and manages annual Community Service Boards (CSB) appropriations. This position also prepares fiscal impact statements for introduced bills that have the potential for having financial impact on the operation of the department. Monitors and tracks capital project appropriations and expenditures.

Minimum Qualifications

Extensive knowledge and work experience in government budget process. Extensive knowledge and skills in financial information systems. Knowledge relative to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in a public sector environment and governmental accounting methodology. Extensive knowledge and experience in financial analysis and controls. Extensive experience in accounting controls and analytical practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree and/or CPA designation preferred.
