Job Summary:
Responsible for conducting moderate to complex projects, analysis and ad hoc reporting for the Trade Relations Team. Major focus is reporting/analysis of payer reimbursements received for pharmacy claims; validating payment accuracy versus contract terms and proactively identifying trends/variances impacting revenue.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify Third Party Payer reimbursement issues/opportunities and partner with internal/external business partners to identify root cause and define recommendations for resolution.
  • Manage work flow of monthly reporting process; prepare and evaluate standard reports, effectively summarize and communicate key issues/variances in a timely manner.
  • Leads the design, development and maintenance of standard reports for the functional area.
  • Create and executes standard and ad hoc queries from the enterprise data warehouse/data bases
  • Supports preparation of presentations for internal/external customers as needed
  • Other duties as deemed necessary

Minimum (Required) Qualifications:
  • BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 – 4 years experience as business/financial analyst in a Fortune 500 company
  • Demonstrates core competencies of: attention to detail, planning and execution, analytical/logical thinking and effective communication
  • Proficient in Excel and Access; able to effectively analyze large quantity of data and prepare ad hoc reports
  • Able to work effectively with other internal functional departments
  • Able to work independently with general supervision
Preferred Qualifications: (if above and beyond the minimum required)

  • Experience in pharmacy, managed care, Medicaid and/or Medicare organizations
  • Experience with relational databases, database structures and related data query/reporting tools
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and Access
Physical Demands: May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.
Work Environment: Work in a climate-controlled, smoke-free internal environment.
