Chevron ITC/PAD/Business Enabling ETC is accepting online applications for the position of Business/Technical Analyst located in Houston, TX through October 15, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (EST).

Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Gather needs and translate strategic and tactical business goals into added value solutions aligned with global value realization objectives.
  • Accountable for process controls and evergreen documentation necessary to meet information protection standards and OE requirements including managing and implementing standardized full life cycle application development methodologies and tools.
  • Proactively engage the business and able to find creative solutions to business opportunities and gain buy-ins from the business and user communities.
  • Handles service requests, monitor incident details, investigation and diagnosis (root cause analysis), detection of possible problems, resolution and recovery of assigned incidents according to established Service Level Agreements.
  • Perform parallel efforts of daily maintenance activities, developments, and mini tasks/projects activities within Baseline Support.
  • Manages vendor relationship through vendor support personnel and account representatives, and acts as the liaison.
  • Maintains and tests Business Continuity Plan for the application and minimizes impact on the business if a disaster occurs.
  • Applying application patches and upgrades.
  • Develop database scripts and custom objects necessary to enhance the application functionality within the scope of Support team.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree required in Management Information systems or Computer Science, or similar field or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 yrs. of business analysis and technical support experienced (combined).
  • Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively foster cooperation and teamwork with a diverse group of people.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Upstream business and processes desirable.
  • Ability to navigate and run simple UNIX commands.
  • Possess following technical skills: ASP.Net, C#, VB.Net, Java Script, XML, T-sql Programming, SQL server 2008 Platform and related Products (e.g. SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), Oracle PL/SQL Programming, Oracle 9i or above, SharePoint 2010 Programming, Visual Studio 2010, InfoPath 2010, SharePoint Designer 2010, Team Foundation Server(TFS), Object oriented development concepts and methodology.
