The University of Illinois’ College of Business - Managerial Studies seeks applicants for a Business/Administrative Associate to provide budget, analysis, record-keeping, and documentation of all financial resources, transactions, and allocations of the Department of Managerial Studies, in accordance with policies and procedures. The Associate is also responsible for assisting in human resources processes such as hiring of adjunct faculty and research/teaching assistants, as well as providing administrative support to the Department in the domains of expense reimbursements, web page updates, supply purchasing, inventory maintenance, and database management.
Assists the Department Head in the development of the annual budget and hiring plans and projections.
Provides comprehensive monthly and annual financial management reports along with detailed analysis for the Department Head, and makes financial recommendations to the Head.
Verifies account information, ensuring available funds, determination of accounts, coding and processing materials for the accounty system and audit accounts.
Serves as primary financial and human resources liaison between the Department and College administration, as well as with the OBFS and other units external to the Department as necessary.
Assists with Department personnel issues regarding payroll, faculty sabbaticals, recruitment efforts and other issues in hiring new faculty, student assistants, and staff.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or field related to the position.
Two years of professional level accounting, managerial and/or business experience, one year of which was at an administrative level.
Experience in Human Resources/Finance/Operations.
Broad knowledge of Accounting, Human Resources and Management
Knowledge of Banner, HR Front End, EDDIE system and Sitefinity
Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
