Responsibility for managing and administering talent payment. This includes processing payments to performers in television, radio and industrial advertising, produced by DDB San Francisco, including initial session, use and re-use fees.
Interprets SAG/AFTRA, and AF of M codes and advises Account Management, Production and Creative in talent matters.
Deals with firm paying all talent for the agency, approving their invoices and forwarding them to accounting for client billing.
Prepares estimates for Broadcast Production and Account Management and enter into Donovan system.
Prepares all talent contracts prior to session/shoot dates.
Prepares all purchase orders and production contracts according to job/client specifics, including proper client job numbers and costs associated with work being done.
If necessary, books and clears all talent prior to session/shoot dates with appropriate union.
Maintains records of all commercials as to year of production, expiration dates, periods of first fixed cycles, holding fees and use; and issues monthly Commercial Status Reports to Account Management and Traffic to keep clients aware of billing and commitments to come.
Consults with Broadcast Producers as to specifics required in producing commercials.
Contacts agents for negotiations and renegotiations.
Maintains up-to-date records for renewals of options, additional payments, etc.
Knowledge of the following a plus:
Music licensing and contract review
Negotiation of over-scale talent contracts
Drafting of releases and other forms related to the securing of third party rights
General IP knowledge (copyright, trademark, rights of privacy etc.) as it relates to all media, including digital.
2-5 years’ Agency experience
Strong Microsoft Office skills
