Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Business Analyst - SAP Logistics located in Concord, California through July 26, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Provides support to SAP Logistics area. May include Production Planning / APO Modules, SD.
Handles end-user requests for service.
Categorizes and prioritizes each request to ensure that adverse impact to business operations is minimized and normal service is restored quickly.
Performs optimization of system resources to improve efficiency/performance.
Establishes and maintains standards.
Works with the different teams and IT partners in the different parts of the world in providing services to our internal customers.
Participates in ERP project work including project implementations or modification/enhancements.
Applies Project Management principles and processes within the framework of a project or other routine work (e.g., framing the situation, considering alternatives, communication, behavioral change management, etc.).
Elicit, document, and finalize business requirements (e.g. processes, data, business rules, functions, etc.).
Identify alternative(s) in context of business opportunity and business processes.
Assists in the achievement of Operational Excellence objectives for overall system reliability, security, availability, responsiveness, effectiveness, and operational cost.
Assists in developing and monitoring service level performance metrics.
Analyzes incident history records and conducts root-cause analysis on system failures that disrupt normal business operations.
Upgrades system quality assurance processes and/or makes application and infrastructure changes to eliminate future incidents.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or other relevant fields (e.g., Finance).
SAP functional support or implementation experience preferably in any of the logistics modules.
Excellent customer focus and results-orientation.
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
