Seeking candidate with five
or more years’ experience in the software development life cycle (software
development processes, requirements gathering/refinement, formal software
testing, and documentation). Understands organizational processes prior
to applying specific system/software solutions. Identifies and
prioritizes initiatives based on organization’s strategic charter and
mandates. Researches, analyzes and compiles requirements and some
technical data in support of customer needs. Able to capture and
summarize data using various data management tools and methods such as Use
Cases, diagrams, spreadsheets and other modeling techniques. Establishes
consensus and communicates common goals and desires across a diverse audience
ranging from a non-technical client to software developers and project
managers. Needs to be able to work with minimal guidance and lead
specific initiatives without the advantage of direct reports; must work well in
group settings. Knowledge of interaction between graphical user
interfaces and databases, as well as the integration of enterprise
applications, is a must. Supports the interoperability of systems at
various classification levels.
Successful candidate must be
proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio and project
management software. Must be able to work with advanced hardware and
software technologies and databases. Strong communication skills, both oral and
written, are a must. Familiarity with multiple computing platforms (SUN, UNIX,
Windows), databases (Oracle), operating systems (Solaris, UNIX, Windows), and
web technologies. Must demonstrate team leadership skills with the ability to
exercise independent judgment and initiative. Familiarity with electronic
publishing and structured authoring software (XML, HTML), database languages
(SQL), and requirements management software (CaliberRM) is strongly preferred.
