Job Purpose:
Under general supervision, retrieves, reviews, processes and analyzes demographic, clinical, and supply cost data from clients according to consultants’ and business management’s specifications. Participates in the analysis and interpretation of data including but not limited to identifying cost and clinical opportunities, preparing statistical and other reports, and drafting presentations.

Position Objectives:
Provide timely, accurate and professional support necessary for consultants and Strategic Sourcing Specialists to meet customer needs.

Provide proposals to improve Business Analyst related responsibilities.

Maintain standardized deliverables, specifically adhering to implementation of new branding efforts and refreshing external business metrics (e.g., supplier financials, etc.) contained in the deliverables

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Consulting Projects

Obtains, reviews, processes and analyzes client demand and supply utilization data.

Prepare, and perform initial review of preliminary reports using client demand and supply utilization data, making recommendations to consultant as appropriate.

Apply consultant updates to the preliminary analysis

Identify costs, per consultant/service line needs, by supply category and cost of high-volume, “workhorse” items/systems for comparison.

Help with preparation of client presentations, including graphs based on results of supply utilization analysis and demographic, clinical and supply cost data.

Analyze information obtained in completed RFP’s, presenting feedback and analysis in a concise, informative format to consultants.

Help with generating final reports for participating clients to identify and track actual cost savings.

Process and track spend and utilization data as necessary.

Maintain accountability to the consultants for the timeliness and quality of client data analysis and reports.

Sourcing Projects

Responsible for working on financial modeling, pricing analysis, contract development and supplier selection for hospital customers

Conduct regional labor market research to develop understanding of overall market dynamics including vendor identification, market economics (labor market rates), staff availability, and supplemental staffing practices and preferences

Other WFS Analytical Functions

Generate ad hoc reports per WFM management’s request

Internal Responsibilities:
Adheres to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program.

Responsible for reporting violations of the company's policies and procedures, Standards of Business Conduct, governance program, laws and regulations through the company's Help Line or other mechanism that may be available at the time of the violation. Assists with internal control failure remediation efforts.

Becomes knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. Participates in the internal controls self-assessment process.

Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management.

Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:

Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
  • BA/BS in related field and 0-4 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified;
  • Solid knowledge of all MS Office Products, advanced knowledge of Excel, Access and PowerPoint required;
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills and is detail-oriented.
  • Able to communicate professionally, effectively and courteously, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
